Contact details, your service list, who to call for each

How it works

The DNS Provider keeps the directory accurate. Your registration is a request; nothing is published until it has been verified.

01

Tell us about your organization

Contact details, a named contact person, the languages and communities you serve, and each service or program with who to call.

02

The DNS Coordinator verifies

We check for duplicates, confirm your programs sit under the right NAARS areas and subcategories, and confirm details with your contact person.

03

You’re in the directory

Workers across the hub can find and refer to you. Platform organizations also receive platform access and manage their own services from then on.

QUESTIONS

Questions

Do we need an account to be listed?

No. Partner Organizations are listed in the directory without any login. Only organizations that conduct NAARS assessments on the platform need accounts.

Who can see our information?

Settlement workers at organizations in the Vancouver DNS hub, and the DNS Coordinator. Your contact person’s details are shown on referrals so workers can introduce a newcomer to a named person.

How do we update our listing later?

Email the DNS Coordinator or re-submit this form with the changes. Every listing is re-verified on a regular cycle; we will contact your contact person when it is due.

What are the NAARS areas and DNS subcategories?

The six NAARS areas are the fixed assessment areas settlement workers use (Basic Needs; Language & Literacy; Employment, Education & Career Training; Family & Children; Government, Finance & Legal Aid; Social Supports & Community Connections). The DNS Coordinator maintains the subcategories under each area. You pick the area and subcategory, then describe your own programs; organizations cannot add new main categories, but can propose a subcategory for review.

We are a Francophone service provider.

Register here and mark “Francophone-designated”. The directory identifies Francophone services so Francophone newcomers are coordinated with the Francophone DNS provider.
